Welcome! I am Barry McNabb, owner of Master Drafters Design Service, a seasoned residential designer with over 30 years of experience transforming client’s visions into dream homes. My journey in design has been fueled by a passion for creativity, functionality, and a deep understanding of the evolving needs of homeowners and the overall construction process from design through completion.

From cozy cottages to expansive estates, I have had the privilege of working on a diverse range of projects, each unique in its vision and execution. My approach combines timeless design principles with modern innovations, ensuring that every home I design is not only beautiful but also livable and sustainable.

Education and Experience

I received an Associate of Engineering Technology degree from the State Technical Institute of Knoxville, Tennessee in 1984. “State Tech” later grew and transformed into the current Pellissippi State Technical Community College.

I also hold a Bachelor of Construction Science degree from the Southern Polytechnic State University in Marietta, Georgia awarded in 1989. “Southern Poly” later became part of the current Kennesaw State University system.

Master Drafters Design Service was created in 1989. In the following years, I have been involved in the design of hundreds of customs homes in the east Tennessee region.

I strive to create spaces that reflect individual personalities while enhancing the overall functionality and flow of the home.
